Welcome to the Brittany Ambassy

The Embassy of Brittany, based in Brussels, Belgium, is a non-for-profit organisation aiming at affording the Breton people representation in European institutions and throughout the world.

It strictly keeps away from any form of extremism and violence, whether in speech or in actions.

Mainstream politicians who have won mandates in Breton electorates are tied to the policies of their French national parties and the constraints of election results. As such, they cannot give proper representation to the Breton people nor promote their interests and aspirations.

The emergence of a "Europe of the Regions" is underway and the notion of a Greater Western Region of France, that would rub out down to the very name of Brittany, is taking hold.

It is therefore our duty to react, and react now. Only by uniting and making our existence known to the world, will we be able to stand our ground and have a say in this process with the support of other nations and international organisations.

For all the strong economic dynamism and drive of the Breton people, the current system, which has ruled us for the past sixty years, is no longer able to lead us forward.

The Commissions we are establishing are as many think tanks which will elaborate and propose new modes of operation in all possible areas of life, whether they may be economics, legislation, education, etc.

Due to the institutional form of our organisation, we do not collect membership fees from our members and instead rely solely on donations of money, time, and specific services.
